Mortimer “Morty” Matz is the Founding Partner of MBA. He is based in New York. Morty is a Public Relations professional with a long career specializing in reputation and crisis management. He has also served as spokesman for public officials at the National, State and local levels.. Prior to his career in public relations, Matz was an editor at the New York Daily News. He graduated from Amherst College.. His part time college job was as driver for poet Robert Frost, who lectured at Amherst. Meredith Ponder Whitmire is the Senior Associate at Matz, Blancato and Associates. She is the Federal Policy and Advocacy Manager for the National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs (NANASP) and the Federal Policy and Media Coordinator for the Elder Justice Coalition. She also directs policy for a senior malnutrition coalition, Defeat Malnutrition Today. In these roles, she provides policy analysis and direction for and advocates on behalf of a wide variety of aging topics, including nutrition, elder justice, and community-based services. Previously, Meredith worked for the National Council on Aging as a legal fellow and a summer associate. She has also worked for other non-profit organizations and on Capitol Hill. She holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA from Georgetown University.
